We all know antiperspirant is no good, and many of the brands that regard themselves as safe still use toxic ingredients. There's no better person to rely on than yourself, so I started making our own deodorant. We sell ours, but self-sufficiency is the goal, so here is the recipe that we use and love.

There are many variants of this and many recipes out there. This is a combination of those that I have tried and settled on this one as my favorite. It is solid but still goes on easily. It incorporates beeswax and magnesium chloride, which block odors, Shea and Cocoa Butter that soothes the skin, and essential oils for scent.
If you are transitioning from an antiperspirant, you will probably have to apply 2 times a day. However, after about 3 weeks, your body should catch up. Let me know if you try this and what you think!
All Natural Beeswax Deodorant
You will need the following:
1. Beeswax: We source our own and sell it on our website, but if you'd prefer to order from Amazon, I recommend Sky Organics (affiliate links below). We sell ours for $9/lb or by the ounce (https://ourfouracrefarm.wixsite.com/o4af/all-natural-skincare).
2. Cocoa Butter
3. Shea Butter
4. Arrowroot Powder
5. Magnesium Flakes or Magnesium Oil (We make our own oil out of the flakes- much cheaper). Here's how:
Ingredients
4 TBSP of Beeswax
2 TBSP of Cocoa Butter
2 TBSP of Shea Butter
4 tsp of arrowroot powder
3 tsp of magnesium oil
20-30 drops of essential oils for scent
Directions
Measure out all of your ingredients. Using a double boiler (or coffee pot :)), melt the beeswax, cocoa butter, and shea butter.
Add arrowroot powder and stir.
Allow to cool slightly before adding magnesium oil and essential oils
Stir well, then place in your containers. Make sure you let cool before use. We use the ones posted below. They come in 2.5 ml and 2 ounce aluminum jars.
If you don't want to take this task on, we do sell this on our website. You can find the link here: https://ourfouracrefarm.wixsite.com/o4af
